Prof. Dr. Alfons Juan Ciscar

Alfons Juan Ciscar is professor at the Department of Computer Systems and Computation (DSIC) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), where he teaches courses related to machine learning, NLP, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition etc. He is also director of the Machine Learning and Language Processing research group at UPV, and has collaborated on several national and international projects in the field of human language technologies.

Prof. Dr. Matjaž Debevc

Matjaž Debevc is professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor. His main research focus is the development of digital accessibility tools for users of international sign language. He is a member of the Expert Group for Accessibility at the World Federation of the Deaf, which produces guidelines to further the equality of deaf people for international bodies such as the UN, WHO, UNESCO, UNICEF, European Commission and others.

Dr. Alexandra Krause

Alexandra Krause from the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna teaches courses related to intercultural communication and culture-based translation. Besides these fields, her research interests also include foreign langauge teaching, development of teaching models and multilinguality.

Nancy Matis

Nancy Matis has worked in the translation business for two decades, working as a translator, reviser, technical specialist, project manager and teacher. She currently manages her own translation company and teaches Translation Project Management at three universities. She is also the author of the book How to manage your translation projects.

Dr. Davor Orlič

Davor Orlič is co-founder of the e-learning site videolectures.net, operated by the Centre for Knowledge Transfer in Information Technologies at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. He is also deputy of UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Learning and COO of the Knowledge 4 All Foundation. He has actively participated in international projects advancing open and on-line education, such as transLectures, traMOOC and similar.
